SC&H Capital, a leading investment bank specializing in M&A advisory for middle-market companies, is pleased to announce that its client, William Gerber, Inc., (“Gerber’s”), has been acquired by Casella Waste Systems, Inc.
Headquartered in Cockeysville, MD, Gerber’s is a third-generation commercial waste hauler that serves clients across Baltimore County. For the past 85 years the Company has provided waste collection services to businesses across the manufacturing, industrial, retail, commercial office, restaurant, multi-family, and construction industries.
Mike Geber and Patty Gerber-Mason worked in the family business with their father William Gerber since the 1980s. After taking leadership of the company in 2015, Mike and Patty continued the successes of their grandfather and father. The transaction provides Gerber’s with a culturally aligned partner to continue serving the Baltimore County community.
Casella Waste Systems, is a publicly traded waste solutions company headquartered in Rutland, VT, and serves commercial and residential customers with collections services and transfer stations across the eastern United States. The transaction expands Casella’s waste collection capabilities in the Mid-Atlantic region.
