SC&H Capital Advises Clark Nexsen in its Acquisition by Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson

SC&H Capital, a leading investment bank specializing in M&A advisory for middle-market companies, is pleased to announce that its client, Clark Nexsen, has been acquired by Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson (“JMT”). The transaction marks a significant milestone in the long history of Clark Nexsen and allows the two firms to expand their geographic reach and scope of architecture and engineering capabilities.

Founded in 1920, Clark Nexsen, ranked #50 among Building Design+Construction’s rankings of the nation’s largest architecture firms and #255 among the Engineering News-Record Top 500 Design Firms, is a 320-person full-service, multidisciplinary architecture and engineering firm headquartered in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The firm currently operates nine offices across Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia, and Tennessee. JMT, ranked #50 among the Engineering News-Record Top 500 Design Firms, is a 2,400-person employee-owned engineering firm based in Hunt Valley, Maryland with over 50 offices across the country.

The transaction was led by Greg Hogan and Matthew Everett at SC&H Capital. Drake Nicholas and Alexander Puskar of Barley Snyder served as legal counsel to the company. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
