As a Director of SC&H’s Audit practice, Angela has been assisting clients at the firm for over 17 years. With the practice’s diverse portfolio of clients, Angela’s expertise is with technology and retail entities, as well as serving several state and local government agencies. She specializes in serving privately-held businesses by performing financial audits, reviews and consulting procedures, including consulting on various accounting and auditing standards such as ASC 606, ASC 842 and GASB 96.
Engaging with her team and cultivating close client relationships is what Angela finds most rewarding about her work. The ability to rise to challenges and problem solve as a team, delivering exceptional results to clients, continues to inspire and motivate Angela every day.
Angela graduated from the University of Maryland, receiving her Bachelors of Science in Accounting. Additionally, she holds a graduate certificate in forensic accounting from the University of Baltimore, and she is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the state of Maryland.
A nonprofit close to Angela’s heart is Improving Education, an organization that uses tools of Improvement Science and Continuous Improvement to develop, test and scale changes that can improve outcomes for all with a focus on improving early literacy outcomes and kindergarten readiness of children in Baltimore City. The feedback she has encountered from program participants has inspired her to continue working with the organization, serving on the board since 2016 and as its treasurer since 2018.
When she is not working or volunteering with Improving Education, Angela values time with family and friends, cheering on her children at sporting events, relaxing at the beach and appreciating the outdoors whenever possible.
